Easy Bible Reading Plans For Kids

We know how important it is as Christians to live, breathe and soak in God’s Word.

My husband and I, along with our church, are doing a Bible reading plan and reading through the ENTIRE Bible this year.

And we want to include our daughter too! Yes, she is only 4, so she’s still learning to read – therefore there will be a lot of us reading to her from our favorite storybook Bibles!

Need some more info on helping your kids learn about God’s Word? Check out these 9 simple ways to teach your kids about the Bible!

And for kids that are a little older and want to read for themselves, these bible reading plans are great options! And you can join them too! When they see you reading your Bible, it makes them want to as well. 🙂

You can even make it a part of your Family Bible time together!

The best part about all of the ones listed below…

They are completely FREE! No worrying about spending more money, and get your kids into God’s Word this year. Win-win!

Without further ado, here are 5 fantastic easy Bible reading plans for kids

2. 365-day Bible Reading Plan for Kids! – [Kaylene Yoder]

Kaylene Yoder is known for her AMAZING resources for Christian women who want to grow in their faith. These Bible reading plans for kids she offers are another fantastic option!

This plan gives your kids about 15-30 minutes of reading each day, which is totally doable!

One thing that sets this plan apart – she includes a separate page for reflection which is such an IMPORTANT part when reading God’s word!! This page includes:

  • Verses, phrases or words that stood out to me
  • What is God speaking to me about this passage?
  • My prayer

This makes a great option for really letting your kids not just read the Bible, but learn more about it by meditating on it as well, and hide the words in their hearts (Psalm 119:11)!

3. Kid Friendly Bible Reading Plans – [The Purposeful Mom]

Guess what sets this one apart? She offers TWO different FREE Bible reading plans for your kids to choose from!

Rather than just reading the entire Bible, these plans focus on certain aspects, which is great for digging deeper!

The first one focuses on reading different books of the Bible. The second one, called the Strong Faith Series, focuses on your child’s identity in Christ and really sets up a great routine of regular Bible reading well into their young adult years!

These Bible plans are best for ages 5 – 14 years old (such a great range!) and can be used over and over.

She even includes some fun bonuses such as devotional notes & binder covers to make a nice organized kids bible reading plan binder!

This Bible reading plan for kids is great because she really focuses on getting kids EXCITED about reading the Bible, which is so essential!

She actually created FOUR levels of reading plans for kids so you can pick and choose what would be best for YOUR child. Because all kids are different!

There is a lot more detail in her post here that breaks down each level, but basically, you can choose for your kids, 150 verses a month (level 1) up to (600 verses a month (level 4).

It is ALWAYS good to have options as they grow in age and faith. 🙂
