Wait a minute… they actually have Christian subscription boxes for kids?
YES! Hallelujah!
There are actually quite a few options, but today we will be looking at the Hello Bible Box specifically – what does it include, is it biblically accurate, is it budget-friendly?
These are just some of the questions we will answer to see if this is the right choice for your family!
I am actually going to give you a first-hand look into our May 2021 subscription box!
As a Christian parent, I am ALWAYS looking for new and unique ways to teach my daughter about God and His Word.
She is now getting into her preschool years but still on the line of toddlerhood, so when I saw an opportunity to check out this great Jesus-focused, toddler-friendly subscription box, I knew we had to check it out. 👀
One of my favorite things about this box… my husband, daughter, and I, all did this together. Not only did she learn more about God, but we had an amazing day together as a family, and made precious memories.
While we love doing our daily morning devotional together, this “box” helped us to sit down and focus on each other with fun biblical activities and that was a HUGE win for our family. <3
This monthly box was too good not to share with you in helping you do the same, so here is an in-depth review of the Hello Bible Junior subscription box!
What’s In The Hello Bible Junior Box?
We purchased the Hello Bible Junior Box which is designed for ages 3-5 but they also have the Hello Bible Explorer Box, ages 5-10.
Each box is designed with enough resources and activities for 2 children! It took us about an hour to complete everything in the box.
But now, let’s get right into the good stuff, what do you say?
Here is everything included in the box and a little more in detail of each of those things. I’ve included pictures of us using them as well so you can see them in action…
Welcome Card
When you open the box you will see a ton of stuff! Grab that welcome card first to read over. 🙂 This will give you a good sense of what you are going to be going over with your child, with a small intro.
You’ll also get a collector’s sticker from Bella the Butterfly introducing the Bible Story that your kids will be learning for that month.
Our story for this month was about “The Wise & The Foolish Builder” and making sure you have a strong foundation to stand on.
Parent Guide
This is the main card I used when going over this story with my daughter!
I loved how detailed it was and gave me step-by-step instructions on the order of each activity, questions to ask, key points to reiterate, a prayer, and a bible verse to memorize.
There are also cards for each craft and activity with even more detail, showing you exactly what to do.
This is particularly great for those who like something structured enough to help them get the main points across, without it being too strict – it’s a ton of fun and you will learn a lot too!
I personally like things laid out like this so I can follow the order and make sure we are getting the most out of it. 🙌🏻
Faith-filled Bible Story Book
First on the list is to read through the storybook included. It is a simple yet accurate Bible story/stories, which is super easy to read to your kids and to help them understand the Bible.
Something really cool and different about this book they included, is that it was a 2 part storybook!
You read through one side and flip the book to read through the other. It was unexpected and great for really hitting that point of having a good foundation in Christ!
The two stories included in our box were: The Wise Builder (foolish man built his house on sand, the wise man on rock), and The Sower (rocky soil vs thorny soil vs good soil).
They encourage you to read out of your favorite children’s Bible/Bible storybook (which we did) and it helped hit it home more and gave us the opportunity to get our daughter into the Word.
Two Crafts & Family Activity
I have to say, the creativity of these crafts was more than I could have thought of!
The first one we did was a paper with the same illustrations as the storybook and stickers to put on there according to the story. All kids love stickers, right?? It was definitely fun!
The sticks craft was a huge hit with my daughter, as well as building the birdhouse.
They were so creative and the best part? It came with EVERYTHING you needed to complete it! I didn’t have to use anything or go buy anything to do this box with her. YAY!
Here are some of our pictures from these fun activities!!!
As you can tell, we had a BLAST doing these activities. We still have the birdhouse hanging up and kept the sticks in a big baggie so we can grab them out and play with them. 🙂
It really helped boost her creativity and imagination, while also being a good reminder to have a firm foundation in Christ.
Cost Of The Hello Bible Box
Ah the fun part, right? Haha.
The cost for one month of the box is $29.80 + $5 shipping, but they were gracious enough to let me offer you $10 off your first box, meaning you can try all this for less than $25 including shipping!
This is how I signed up and I must say, it was worth every penny for the number of items we received, and not only that, but we can use most of the materials over and over again.
You can save money by grabbing the 6-month (save $1 /month), or 12-month (save $3/month) subscriptions. These are paid upfront, so I would recommend trying the one-month FIRST with the $10 off code – KIDS – to make sure you like it. That’s what we did!
You can get $10 off your first box HERE by clicking the link and using the code KIDS at checkout!
I will say, even though the cost isn’t too bad for what you are getting, we currently don’t have the extra room in our budget for this every month, but rather every few months (you can pause your subscription) or for special occasions.
But if you have a little wiggle room in your budget, I’d say go for it!!
**Updated to add, we now receive the box every month because it is SO worth it and essential for our home learning!

Use As A Homeschooling Resource
All my homeschooling moms out there, this is for you!
This specific monthly subscription box for kids would be GREAT to use as a hands-on, interactive tool to include Bible teaching in your school days.
My daughter is 4 but we still participate in learning activities at home including the alphabet, numbers, colors, etc., and Bible activities too.
It would be PERFECT to use as an addition to your homeschool curriculum/lesson planning once a month. These activities are as fantastic because they include hands-on, creative activities, and a done-for-you lesson plan.
Hello Bible Beliefs & Statement of Faith
The Hello Bible box (both Junior and Explorer) uses the NIV version of the Bible for their activities, and you can check out their statement of faith here!
Should You Try The Hello Bible Junior Subscription Box?
