1. He Was Made In God’s Image

Waaaaay back in the beginning. Genesis 2:27 to be exact, God made man in His image. If God himself is perfect and holy, and he made man in his image, that makes us like him.

God doesn’t make mistakes.

He took the time to carefully craft and form your husband to be exactly the way he is, and that is a beautiful thing!

2. He Lays The Foundation For Your Family

“But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.” 1 Corinthians 11:13.

Your husband is called to be the head of your household. He is the one who leads the family, along with our help. He makes sure you are staying connected in our personal relationship with the Lord.

Your husband encourages you in the long days of motherhood to keep going, praying for you, as you teach your children more about God.

That man you married brings the family church every week and initiates reading God’s Word during family Bible time together.

Ladies, HE has a big job in laying the foundation for your family. Help him, pray for Him, and don’t forget to encourage him too.

3. He Is A Sexual Companion

“May your fountain be blessed,  and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth. A loving doe, a graceful deer – may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be intoxicated with her love.” Proverbs 5:18-19.

We get to enjoy sexual intimacy with our husband, and him alone! God created sex to be pleasurable within the confines of marriage.

There is no other person on this planet who can fulfill your needs outside of your spouse

The reality is, sex in marriage is beautiful and meant to be enjoyed! God is pleased when we join together with our husband because it’s such a sacred covenant between two people.

4. He Brings A Set Of Qualities To Complete Yours

Do you ever wonder why God created men and women so different? For the simple fact that we need both perspectives in our lives! A pattern will start to develop in your marriage:

When you are feeling weak, your husband is strong for you and vice versa.

God knew exactly what you would need in a husband. He created him with the qualities that allow him to love you the way YOU need it.

5. He Is Called To Die For You

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her…” Ephesians 5:25.

Finally – and most importantlyyour husband is called to lay down his life for you.

There is no place in scripture where we as wives are called to do the same for our husbands.

God specifically asked for your husband to be the one to lay down his life for you, just as Jesus did for us. That in itself shows just how precious and important your spouse is.
