Picture this… you are in the drive-thru (a 2 lane drive-thru actually) and honestly, it shouldn’t be that hard to figure out how those work right?!

Wrong! Someone cuts you off and goes first when you have the right away. Then when it’s your turn to order, they skip you can two cars from the other lane order and go!

Maybe this seems silly, but for some reason, situations like these, so small and trivial in reality, can really get me frustrated, holding on to offense and unkindness to those that caused it!

In situations like these, it’s SO vital that we as Christians show the love of God to others. Was I Maybe justified in feeling the way I did? Sure.

But Jesus calls us as believers to imitate Christ, and ask ourselves what He would do in that situation. Honestly, compared to what He went through on the cross, I should be WAY less frustrated.

It can be hard to be kind to our own families sometimes too. Our kids get us upset, our spouse says something unloving, and our first reaction is to snap back and be upset.

But when we meditate on God’s Word day and night, seek out what HE says about being kind, the Holy Spirit gently reminds us of these bible verses about kindness!

What Does The Bible Say About Kindness?

God has a LOT to say about being kind and compassionate towards each other. Most importantly, when we are kind and show the love of Christ to others, we are sharing our faith with them and that they need a Savior.

Have you ever “angered” or “hated” someone to Christ?

No!! It makes me think of the people who hold up those cruel signs that say “turn or burn” ya know?

We have to LOVE people to Christ, BECAUSE Hell is a real place, and Christ desires for ALL to come to know Him and none to perish.

So we share our faith with people and show them kindness because we want to love them just as Jesus does. He does even more so.

If that isn’t motivation enough to be kind, think about the kindness that God has shown to YOU. Your salvation for one, the blessings he Has given you, His forgiveness… all are things to be grateful about and give Him praise for!

It’s also so important to teach our kids to be kind. As parents, God has given us that responsibility and we don’t want to take it lightly!
